01 / The company
RJ Hall Engineering is a family orientated fabrication and engineering company based at Glenbenna Workshop near Walkerburn. Raymond started the business on his own around thirty years ago. His sons Darren and Dalton joined after completing apprenticeships and are both fully qualified welders.
We specialise in forestry and plant repair, working both in our own workshop and out on site across the UK. Alongside repair work we handle large steel fabrication, plasma profiling and line boring for customers who need machinery back in service quickly and correctly.

02 / Capabilities
Six core disciplines under one roof, backed by mobile teams. Most jobs move between them, which is why the work stays with one company from strip down to handover.
01Fully equipped service vehicles and travelling welders. We come to the forest block, quarry or yard and carry out repairs where the machine stands.
02Heavy fabrication built to drawing or built from a conversation and a tape measure. Time served welders working in steel of all sections and thicknesses.
03Worn pin bores machined back to size on the machine or in the workshop, then bushed and refitted so joints run true again.
04Steel plate cut to profile across a wide range of thicknesses. Clean edges, repeatable parts and one off shapes cut from your file or ours.
05Harvesters, forwarders, skyline booms, mounders and excavators. Structural repairs and rebuilds for machines that work in punishing conditions.
06Excavator attachments and digger buckets built and repaired to suit the machine and the ground it works in, with wear protection where it matters.
03 / On site
A machine is down in a forest block or a bucket has split mid shift. We take the detail, work out what can be fixed in place and what has to come back to Glenbenna.
Service vehicles carry welding plant, gas, generators, lighting and line boring equipment, so the repair starts as soon as we arrive rather than after a second trip.
Cracks are gouged out and rewelded, worn bores are machined and bushed, and wear areas are plated so the same failure does not come back next season.

06 / Why RJ Hall
Our workshop sits at Glenbenna near Walkerburn in the Scottish Borders, and our mobile teams travel across the UK for forestry and plant work. Wherever the machine is, the same standard of repair follows it.
Raymond, Darren and Dalton are all qualified welders. The people who quote the job are the people who carry it out.
Equipped service vehicles let us repair machinery where it stands, which keeps downtime and transport costs down.
Cutting, fabrication, welding and line boring in house means fewer handovers and a faster turnaround.
Years spent working with forestry contractors on real sites, in real weather, on machines that cannot wait.
07 / Enquiries
Send the machine, the fault and the location. For a machine that is down today, phone the team directly and we will talk it through straight away.
